Games That Don’t Look Away

X Positive Games makes games about sex and relationships. Not the sanitized kind. We don’t fade to black and pretend nothing happened. Not the exploitative kind. Our characters aren’t rewards for clicking the right dialogue options. We make the kind where intimacy is designed with the same craft as combat or level design.

The Philosophy

Our games don’t look alike. A 16-bit card dating sim at a dive bar. A cel-shaded 3D adventure across alien planets. What they share is a set of beliefs about how games should treat people:

Characters are people, not prizes. Every character has preferences, boundaries, and agency. A character who says “not yet” isn’t blocking your progress. They’re telling you something about who they are.

Every action matters. In our card game, timing windows reward you for reading the room. In our adventure game, the dual-interact system means every choice you make shapes what happens next. Nothing is throwaway.

Discovery is the gameplay. The fun is in learning what someone likes, paying attention, trying things. Our games reward curiosity over persistence and communication over brute force.

What We’re Making

We’re building two games right now. 52 Card Pick-Up is a card-based dating sim where the cards are the conversation and every character is a different puzzle. Billie Wins a Free Vacation is a 3D adventure where a woman visits alien planets and can’t stop getting involved in things that are none of her business. They don’t look anything alike. They think alike.
